Selling my used car in Lebanon — reality map

Not a process diagram — a wall of what the seller actually experiences, A to Z. One sticky = one thought, decision, action, problem, or cost. Color reveals where ailb deletes, simplifies, or takes over.

Karim, 34, Beirut — leaving for a job in the Gulf in two months and needs to turn his 2014 Kia Cerato into fresh USD before he flies.

Getting paid

No escrow, no transfer — a plastic bag of hundreds.

pain$6,000 in $100 bills — are they all real?
actionCount it together at a bank counter~1 hr
painNo escrow. The whole deal is a handshake.
ailb takeoverSafe-handover protocol — money & papers in one sitting
thoughtSold. Six weeks of my life.

It's not linear — it loops

Draw the arrows and the "process" collapses into a few tight feedback loops. These are where sellers get stuck, re-decide, and abandon.

Price Silence Lowballers
No bites, so I drop the price — and the lowballers re-anchor even lower. With no real market data, every drop feels like panic, not strategy.
Listing Buried Repost
Every platform buries you in 48 hours. Sellers bump, repost, and pay for features in a cycle that resets weekly — until they give up or dump the price.
"Serious buyer" No-show Re-screen
Each no-show burns an afternoon and erodes trust, so I screen harder — and scare away real buyers. Many sellers quit here and sell cheap to a dealer.

Where ailb takes over (gold)

The strongest opportunities aren't the photos or the handshake — they're the weeks of pricing blind, answering "akher si3er?", and chasing no-shows.

goldPrice the car from real comps, not vibes
goldWrite the listing & post it everywhere at once
goldAnswer every "sho akher si3er?" — instantly, politely
goldFilter the lowballers and the tourists
goldSchedule verified buyers into one test-drive day
goldPre-negotiate a price range before anyone meets
goldPrep the daftar/mécanique checklist & book the moaamalat broker
goldRun a safe cash-handover protocol

The ailb flow — same outcome, 5 steps

What survives after delete → simplify → automate. The human only takes photos, rides along, signs, and takes the cash. The agent does everything else.

STEP 1
Tell the agent once
You: send 10 photos and answer a 12-question chat interview. Agent: builds the listing.
STEP 2
Price & publish
Agent prices from comps and posts to OLX, dubizzle & FB groups, keeps it bumped.
STEP 3
Field every buyer
Agent answers all chats 24/7, filters lowballers, verifies identity, pre-agrees a range. You: nothing.
STEP 4
One test-drive day
You: show up and ride along. Agent: books qualified buyers back-to-back in a public spot.
STEP 5
Transfer & cash
Agent preps papers and books the broker slot. You: sign at the registration center and count the cash.

Verdict — should ailb disrupt this?

8/10Pain density
7/10AI collapse ratio
6/10Frequency × market
6/10Demo feasibility by Saturday

The wall is dripping red: pricing blind, stranger danger, counterfeit fear, and a state-run transfer at the end. The agent can collapse the marketplace half beautifully — but the mécanique/daftar transfer is a physical, government-bound step we can checklist, not delete, and people sell a car only every few years. Recommendation: roadmap. Build the seller side after the buy-side demo proves the car marketplace; demo only the listing-and-fielding slice if time allows.
